Kereru Kindy Whangarei enrol children aged 2 years to 6 years.

We offer 30 hours free. Please inquire if you are interested in enrolling your child.

Kereru Kindy tries to be flexible to meet the needs of families in our community.

You are very welcome to visit us. We would love to show you and your child around our centre. The best way is to contact us and organise a time. See the relevant centre page for contact details.

All our teachers are qualified and registered. We also employ Teacher Aids and Teachers “in training” to support our teaching staff.

There is no charge for public holidays.

Yes, we do have a sickness policy. There is a 48-hour exclusion from kindy after the last bout of vomiting or diarrhoea. Ask at the centre to view our individual policies.

We welcome parent/whanau/caregivers into our centres – our door is always open.

We are happy to support you with toilet training, as we understand this is an ongoing journey.

You can pick up an enrolment pack when you visit the centre or contact us to email you the forms.

Kereru Kindy is licensed by the Ministry of Education Te Tāhūhū o te Mātauranga.

We recommend the child visits with you 3 times before starting. As every child is different, it may take more visits or less. Visits are a good chance for you to get to know the teachers and the routine of the kindy.

Kereru Kindy is a full service childcare centre as well as an early childhood education centre, licensed by the Ministry of Education. This means that we provide childcare from 8.00am to 4.00pm weekdays. We also provide a quality learning experience for those children in our care. Parents can choose to enrol their children for a whole day, a morning or afternoon session, or a kindy (9-3) day.

We recommend enrolling as soon as possible, the sooner the better. Siblings get priority in the enrolment process.
